Michael
E. Juilfs MBA, CFP®, CFS, CDFA
Michael Juilfs is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner
specializing in investment, tax, retirement and estate financial
planning. In focusing on financial planning, he strives to help
clients take charge of their financial futures and better understand
their alternatives. In addition, he assists clients with a broad
array of financial products and services.
Mr.
Juilfs is the founder and managing member of Fair Share Divorce.
He began his career in the Financial Planning industry as a
Financial Advisor with American Express Financial Advisors in
1997. For over 12 years he has counseled numerous individuals
and couples regarding the equitable distribution of assets for
contemplated and pending divorces.
Mr.
Juilfs has been recognized as an expert witness by the Maricopa
County Superior Court and has testified as such regarding valuation
and division of assets, separate and community property issues,
tax considerations, Spousal Maintenance (alimony) and the future
implications to cash flow and net worth of individuals and couples
resulting from proposed settlements.
Mr.
Juilfs has been appointed as a Special Master in domestic relations
cases before the Maricopa County Superior Court. He assists
individuals and their attorneys in determining division of financial
assets, which assets to liquidate if necessary, potential tax
consequences upon liquidation or reallocation, and suggested
order of liquidation or transfer to the spouse.
Mr.
Juilfs has been trained as a Mediator by the Arizona Attorney
General’s office. He routinely assists couples in Mediating
Property Settlement Agreements related to divorce and other
issues.
Mr.
Juilfs holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from
Pacific Lutheran University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
Practitioner.
Mr.
Juilfs has earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation
from the Institute for Certified Divorce Financial Analysts,
Southfield, Michigan. He has also received training in the Collaborative
Divorce process by the Collaborative Divorce Training Institute.
Mr.
Juilfs presents continuing legal education to attorneys on financial
issues. In addition, he has been interviewed on several local
television stations regarding the financial issues of divorce.
Mr.
Juilfs is an Associate Professor at Western International University
where he teaches Financial Planning to students seeking certification
as CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioners as well
as several other courses. Mr. Juilfs also teaches a CFP®
exam review course for the Financial Services Institute.
He
is also a Registered Representative, and a licensed Life, Accident
and Health Agent in Arizona and several other states.
Mr.
Juilfs is a member of the Greater Phoenix Chapter of the Financial
Planning Association and is the co-founder of the Arizona Center
for Divorce Education. He is also a charter member of the Arizona
Academy of Collaborative Professionals dealing with Collaborative
Divorce.
